What We Do
Consultancy
Before we suggest a product, we will visit your property and provide a full assessment, including:
-
A detailed evaluation of the space’s cooling needs, taking into account factors like room size, insulation quality, sunlight exposure, and airflow.
-
An examination of the electrical system’s capacity to support the unit
-
An examination of the existing ductwork (if applicable) to determine if it can efficiently distribute cool air
-
Consideration of the best locations for unit placement, both inside and outside, to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency while minimising noise and visual impact
-
Reviewing the building's structural integrity for supporting the unit and identifying any necessary modifications to comply with local building code
This assessment provides a comprehensive overview so that we can recommend the best system type, size, and installation plan tailored to your specific space.
Installation
We'll start with preparing the site by selecting an ideal location for both the indoor and outdoor units, considering factors like accessibility, airflow, and minimal obstructions.
Our team will then mount the indoor unit, often drilling a hole through the wall for refrigerant lines, wiring, and drainage pipes to connect to the outdoor compressor unit.
The outdoor unit is then installed on a solid base or mounting bracket to ensure stability and minimise vibrations. After securing both units, the technician connects the electrical components, refrigerant lines, and drainage system, ensuring all connections are sealed properly to prevent leaks.
We'll power on the system, and undertake a performance test to ensure the unit cools effectively.
Maintenance & Repair
An air conditioning unit typically needs professional maintenance or servicing once a year, ideally before the start of the cooling season to ensure optimal performance.
However, if the system is heavily used or located in an area with a lot of dust, pollen, or pet fluff, twice-yearly servicing—once before summer and once before winter—can be beneficial.
Routine maintenance helps prevent unexpected breakdowns, maintains energy efficiency, and prolongs the unit’s lifespan.
Regular professional servicing and periodic self-maintenance help keep the unit running efficiently and reduce long-term repair costs.
